I just realized that in CPU-z under the ram section for channel #'s it says single o_O how come its not double.. i have 2x512mb of corsair xms

It might be an error on CPU-Z. Try running Sandra and see what your bandwidth is.

Do you have them in the correct slots for DC? Check your manual to make sure.

It should say on your initial boot up screen whether you are running in single or dual channel.
