Hello eveyone, I'm new here and I have a question. If I'm posting in the wrong section, please move it to the proper section. I have a HP Pavillion with a Pentium 3 at 800 mhz that has windows ME that is not overclocked. I would like to have some help in overclockin' this bad boy and I don't know what to do, I checked the motherboard but i couldn't find anything, and i checked the BIOS too and didn't find anything either. Mabey I'm looking at the wrong thing, but mabey you guys and gals could point me to the right direction and help me out. If you need some more specs just let me know, and I'll give them to ya. Well, there's the info and i hope that you guys can help me. Till then..........:D

hi Glowboy

Try reading this.. it's little bit long but it might help. similar topic (http://forums.overclockers.ws/vb/showthread.php?threadid=41835)

You can also just look for SoftFSB or CPUFSB in google search engine for more info and download. Good luck =)

Yea, most big companies like to prevent OCing. Dell makes it darn near impossible. Unless you know the manufacturer of your mobo or the clock generator it has on it, I'd say you're stuck. SoftFSB or CPUFSB might help (again, if you know the manufacturer of the mobo or the clock generator, and provided that these programs are compatible with your mobo). But, despite these odds, good luck man, and don't get discouraged. These programs are a pretty good shot. Have fun!!!

Try using Sisoft to find out what your motherboard is and then try the the program SoftFSB or CPUFSB.

Good Luck
