There is a directory on my computer that refuses to let me delete any files within it. It is two levels down from the root directory, on my 2nd partition.
I have tried killbox, all of it's options, including trying it all again in safe mode.
I even tested it by adding a newly created blank file (.txt) and it won't let me delete any files that are copied to this directory. How can I fix this without having to install a 2nd OS?

Try deleting the files using Delete Doctor 2.1. available from Majorgeeks here...

You could also try this method if the the above doesn't work for you...
Close all open programs, and click Start | Run | Type taskmgr.exe and click OK. Leave Task Manager open, and click Start | Run | Type cmd and click OK. Leave the Command Prompt window open, go to Task Manager and click the "Processes" tab; "End Process" on "Explorer.exe". Go to the Command Prompt and navigate to the file or folder that you'd like to delete, and enter del <filename>. Go back to Task Manager | Click "File" | New-->Task | Enter explorer.exe to restart the GUI.

Wow, thank you, that worked very well. I used the MS method. Apparently full control was given to a user with a random string of numbers for a name. I have not tried using the delete doctor program yet, but I'll check it out.
