Maybe they'll switch their systems to AMD

I think all those are the current lowest on each processor. We can only hope that dell will start selling AMD, they're already getting the nForce 4(I think, didn't check) and the processors, they just need to make a motherboard and build the computers.

Yeah homie, they got me for $19 in taxes. But atleast it's cheaper than $325 at newegg!
I saved a pure $25 even with the taxes

About the same as the Fry's black friday deal which is how I got mine

303$ isn't a deal breaker

That Fry's deal was something else! So sad about these taxes. It reminds me of the eBay affliction to set a low price and then charge ridiculous amounts of shipping costs to get the price back up to normal...

I recently upgraded to dual-core, and let me tell you... it's AWESOME!

If you can get around the sales tax, it's a fine deal. The X2 3800+ comes at 2.0ghz with the x10 divider I believe, which is plenty for OCing. :)

The Opteron 165 has the x9 multi, so if you're debating between the two, keep that in mind. Also, the X2 3800+ is 2x512mb cache, and the Opteron 165 is 2x1mb cache.

For those of you interested in this, make sure you compare it to the Opteron 165 OEM that is going for $299 at Monarchcomputer (no tax for most).

Well the 3800+ is going for $325 + Shipping on Newegg.
I ordered mine from Dell for $299 Shipped.

I don't care, I saved at least $25, and I consider any item a deal if it can be had for $10 or more less than the price it can be had at Newegg AND if it's from a reputable vendor.

Anyway my processor is being shipped by DHL, It's slated to arrive tomorrow.

I wonder if it was worth me paying $75 more than this for an Opteron 170... they are both the same speed, but all I have is more cache.... hmmm....
