Hi,

I'm thinking of doing vid pinning on my new, very cheap Celeron 566 FCPGA and now I wanted to now what would be the best method to isolate pins. If you now say that I don't need to islate pins, but just connect some vid pins to vss, I must say that I already know that. If I'm honest, it's not just for vid pinning, but also for some testing.

BTW, is it dangerous to breakout pins that are shown as reserved for future use in the intel white papers??

Thx in advance

Ingo

There's a way of isolate celeron pins, by painting the pins with black spray... ~There's a type of bvlack paint the does that job but try to find more info on the web

Outhouse (I think) and others recommend nail polish. Don't know if that's what you're looking for. I've never tried it.

OK thx, I think I'll use nail polish. I already thought of it, but I wasn't quite sure.

But my problem is:

How do I keep the nail polish away from the pins around the one I wan't to isolate. The pins are very near, so the risk of isolating another pin would be veryy high.

Any help apreciated!

Thx in advance

Ingo

If you find out how do unlock the processor, let me know!!! I just bought a Celery 600 and would REALLY like to know that, but I'm too much of a chicken to find out myself.

Don't know that, but I'll give this a bump so someone who does know may see it. :)
