XP & SB Live! Software

Running XP and have a SB Live! Platinum card, but when trying to install the applications it freezes my system and have had to restore my settings twice already. Downloaded the new drivers from Creative, but need the software to run my IR drive, which I haven't been able to install. Can't find the software or any updates at the Creative site. Any suggestions?

What is the IR drive and what does it have to do with the Creative card?

Also, there was a brand new (the 2nd or 3rd - I have been running XP for a few weeks) driver for the Creative card on the Windows Update site. It just appeared this week. I just installed it last night.

The Platinum 5.1 comes with Live! Drive IR which sits in one of the bays. Don't know whether or not you've seen one. Anyway, it also allows for an IR remote to be used with it so you can access music or whatever else while you're away from your PC. The card is working fine, but I can't install the software for it to recognize the Live! Drive.

I was just thinking about that...it should have the latest versions of the software. Went to Creative's site and they said you had to wait for a CD that they'll be coming out with soon. Sucks 'cause they won't let you download it. You'll have to order it and pay a "minimal" shipping fee. I'm gonna try installing it tomorrow...what do I have to lose anyway.
