Silly Memory question...

A friend of mine is upgrading is old Socket A computer with a new Mobo. The question I have is: would PC3200 RAM work on a mobo that says DDR333 (PC2700). My guess is that it will, just won't take advantage of the 3200. But I just want ot be sure :)

yeah, it will just clock at 166mhz instead of 200

Pny and a couple other manufacturers are now selling some ram that will ONLY clock at the preset speed, it does plainly state that on the package though so just steer clear of those and you are golden :)
