i tried almost anything to get my bridges covered but nothing worked
did anyone try this method? does it work?
this is what i found on tips on oc.com
"Get 4 small strands of wire either from a speaker cable or whatever cable you can find that is stranded. Lay them over the traces and place a piece of scotch tape over it. Now you got yourself a very crude piece of trace tape that cost next to nothing."
yeah I was thinking about this too. if soldering works why not your method above. I was thinking of using flat silver for enamel work but copper will work best. will it tarnish after a while? if you tape it well no air should come in contact to tarnish teh copper or the silver for that matter.

I'm wondering about pencelling around the trenches. Seems like it might work
I dont think using wire will work well because the wire probably wont make good contact with the bridges.
If you try it let us know if it works or not.

Nice idea. I'd be worried that pencil couldn't pass the current reliably over the extra distance. But conductive pen should work.

I had this thought when I first picked up my 1800, but I don't think you would get good enough contect without soldering. I saw over at plycon (http://www.plycon.com) they are selling trace tape for the XP's, but do not show a picture, or go in detail about the difference. I assume it would have to be "U-shaped", but they don't say.
What about twisting a 2 strands of wire then paint them with conductive paint to protect againts crude;). After they dry you can "solder" them to the L1 dots with the conductive paint.

pff ... tried doing it with the wire thingies ... but its all so small
i think i just cant unlock my cpu on this mobo
i dont understand what i am doing wrong
maybe its my mobo (kt7e) that wants a really STRONG signal :(
so now im stuck with my duron 600 @ 800 (fsb 133)
one thing i do have to mention ... this chip is THE best ... i can make it run @ default vcore ... kinda nice i thing ... rock stable @ 800 if i go higher it gets kinda unstable ... i think my mobo cant handle much more then 133 fsb
