Is there anyway that i can totaly disable norton ? I cant end the task when i go to game online ?
I never have the anti virus set to auto. That is a big percentage of the resources it uses. I don't think you can turn it off entirely short of uninstalling it.

I'm here nearly every day. Some how we've managed not to cross paths with each other. You have a great holiday!

Merry Christmas (i choose not to be politically correct ! )
msconfig should allow you to stop it from running on boot
So there's no "Shutdown Norton _____" button? Yikes.
I know AVG, AntiVir, ZA...all programs I use(d) have that.
Well, you could have Ralph Kramden say, "Norton, knock it off!" :D (I'm having a problem being serious today.:)

Couldn't you just disable "Auto Protect" in the preferences?
