Setting Up Game Profile....

Do any of you guys have experience with the Logitech WingMan Profiler? I want to set up a profile for Descent 1, but I can't seem to make it work! I've allready tried downloading a pre-made profile from the web, but it didn't work either!!

Any Help??

What version of the profiler are you using?

I'm running version 3.25.384 of the profiler. I know there is an upgade availiable from Logitech's site, but it requires DirectX 8.1 (which will take quite a while to download on 56K...). I'll download the update (and DirectX) if I have to though.

I say just download DirectX 8.1 anyways. It's only about 10mb, so it'll take about an hour. I'm sure you'll have to in the near future, anyways. If you don't want to wait, just let it download overnight. That's what I do for large files

Actually, half an hour... I have a fast 56K connection!

Well, I'll try downloading it... Then downloading the update. I don't play any new games (newest game=The Sims) to need DirectX that new, but mabey the update to the profiler will let me set up Descent...

I tried the new profiler 4.x and couldn't get it to work with descen t 1. I'll keep trying and I'll let you know, if I find anything.
