Transferring data (NTFS)

I need to move data from my NTFS drive, which contains a dead Windows 2000, to another on a different computer. But the other computer doesn't recognize it (it runs 2000 also). What can I do to get it to move?

I don't know if this helps but. my brother's win 2k system died. He got his data back by installing win2k again into a different folder. then was able to retrieve his data.

i would think that you could slave it to your good 2k boot up your RC see if it recognizes your dead 2k, try to go in, copy to a folder on your good 2k, or copy the entire disk to a folder on your good 2k, why is it dead anyway?
