Im a newb. SATA150 is the normal SATA drives? SATA 3.0gbs does something at 3GB/s that the SATA150 does slower?

- Do they both connect the same way?
- I can use SATA 3.0GB/s on a socket939 DFI lanparty mobo?

sorry for being a newb (-.-;)

The only difference between SATA II (the 3Gb/s revision) and SATA I (the original 1.5Gb/s) is the potential bandwidth of the interface. However, since today's drives don't exceed the 1.5Gb/s of SATA I, you don't really lose anything by using it in place of SATA II. SATA is backwards compatible, so you can use a SATA I device anywhere you would use SATA II (you'll just be limited to 1.5Gb/s). Unless you're very worried about future-proofing your machine, SATA I devices will be fine. Don't get suckered into buying SATA II because it claims to be faster - it really isn't. It's just 'potentially' faster.

To answer your specific questions:
Yes, they both use the same connectors, and yes you can use SATA II. If you use SATA II drives and the board only supports SATA I, you'll just be limited to 1.5Gb/s (but of course that doesn't matter).
