I have given the CPU more than enough juice to run at 1.6GHz. (SPECS in my sig) it is not stable at all these days:mad: It's at 1.85v right now. This is the most I can give it. I have gone 1.6 at 1.8v stable before but now my CPU is just quiting on me. My mobo doesn't support multiplier adjustments so I am changing just the FSB. It is currently at 152MHZ. I have set my Apacer DDR RAM to CAS 2. The ram is at default voltage 2.7v Why is my computer unstable? Since I am upping the FSB a lot should I increase the RAM voltage too? PLEASE HELP!

Don't increase the voltage to the RAM too much. You're probably at about the max right there. Try reducing the timings on the RAM instead.

Lower the CL of your RAM to 2.5 or even 3. This will give you processor stability, at the cost of RAM speed.

does ram affect the gaming performance?

with quality crucial ram you can get 3.3v with your memory, as long as you use the thermaltake heat spreaders.
