Seti@Home removes the need for idling software. I prefer Folding, though.

I think what the other guys are saying is. Why would you want to cool your CPU down if it's idle. Idle implies that it is doing nothing, a lot of us do Folding or Seti to use CPU cycles that would otherwise be wasted. You can still browse the Net, come here and many other tasks whilst doing either of these.

Yea.. Since your not using it why cool it then ... Run Seti or Folding that will help Overclockers...

No, what I was implying is that....
*takes deep breathe in order to preach this fact once again*
this software is an utter waste of time. Why would you want to cool your CPU at idle. If your CPU is so hot at idle that you need to run cooling software, you have other cooling issues that you need to address, not mask with software, because its going to fry your CPU at load if your idle temps are this high.
