I'm running an ATI X800XL. I was wondering what the max I can OC it to.
Right now, it's running:
Core: 425.16 mhz
Memory: 519.59 mhz

If I can OC it, what program should I use to OC it?

Ranger......OPEN EYE! Hes talking about a X800XL not a X1800XL.

The X800XL's are kind of hit or miss. I managed to get mine up to 475/584. I'd recommend using ATI Tray Tools, http://www.radeon2.ru/atitray/

If your on stock cooling, just be careful. Tray Tools allows you to monitor the temps, you just have to enable it in the options. Watch the temps & push it up.

i also overclocked mine, my system in sig. Counter Strike: Source dies on me every now and then but im too lazy to see if its wether ram or cpu, i dont think its a video card issue. My x800xl is overclocked mildly, but i game at 1280x720 8xAF 4XAA gloriously

Best I could ever get on mine was 480/580 and that was with an ati-silencer and an air-conditioner duct mod. On air cooling you can expect around 450/560 if you have a good card.

What temps should my XL be running at? Suddenly my frames have gone wayyyy down .. (from 120 constant in source to 40) and i'm trying to pinpoint the problem .. not processor overheating .. have 2 gigs of ram .. thinking its the video card overheating .. so in the heat up thing on ati-tool it gets to about 80C max .. and what's interesting is the FPS on the heatup phaze jump around .. like they stay at 250 for a second and will go to 190 and back up .. Anyone think this is my problem?
