The video card is a NVIDIA RIVA TNT2 Model 64 w/ 16 meg, bios V2.05.13.04 and the monitor is a PanaSync E15.
The same monitor was used with an ATI Expert 99 card and works fine, but the NVIDIA card has problems. There are 'shadows' horizontally accros the screen and I cannot fine a setting to correct it. It runs decent at 800x600 24 bit true color.
I downloaded the most recent video driver from the Gateway website and the monitor is set to Plug & Play.
Any ideas would be appriciated.
Thanks in advance.

Sound like a refresh rate problem.

Go to your display properties and try changing the refresh rate to 'optimal' or 'adapter default'

Tried both and still have the same problem.
Good idea though, thanks!
I also am downloading a driver from NVIDA called Detonator.
I'll see if it does better.
Do you think there could be a conflict if the old drivers were not deleted first?

It could be

www.guru3d.com

Try and download their "Detonator Destroyer" http://www.guru3d.com/detonator-destroyer/ to get rid of your old drivers, then download the latest Detonator4 drivers. I think they have em on the same site.

Good luck!

The "Detonator" drivers didn't help either.
Guess I got a bad card. Oh well, it was only $10, a Gateway pullout. That's another name for JUNK!
