Okay I recently bought a computer (well not A computer,built it myself)And iv'e heard some good things about the Via Apollo KX133 chipsets,So I got a mobo with them on it,(Chaintach 7ATA) Here is what it looks like..ChaintechBoard (http://www.chaintech.com.tw/Producti/mainboar/SlotA/7ATA.htm) And I bought a Slot A athy classic to go on it (all I could find was a 750),And i'm wondering if I could bump this thing up w/out a GFD,Because it won't fit in my case and it's hard to find :rolleyes: I tried to change my L2 Cache with a program I found,Didn't seem like a success when I checked back on WCPUID it was the same :mad: If you need to know anything specific about the system or anything plz let me know,And thanks everyone for your help! :D

Pretty sure on this(if i'm wrong someone will correct me)but if you have a slot processor then you have to have GFD. I'm sure this isn't what you wanted to hear sorry bout the news.

You dont have to have a GFD, If you'r any goot with a soldering iron (like me) your can OC it by moving aroun some of those tiny SMD Resisters on the athlons PCB. I OC'd my 500 to 600 easy but when I got a little overzellus, I tryed 700 and I found I killed one of the SMD Resisters so I decided I'd clock it back down to 600 but when I went to take the plastick/aluminum housing off it, there are some pins with clamps you have to pry off to remove the aluminum plate and in the process of doing so, my small screw driver sliped and I acidently toore off a couple of those resisters and I'l never find them again on my carpet.

I'm not trying to scare u away from doing it your self, It worked awsome for me and it'd be a great idea for u if u wana do it, I'v found 2 different guides and to test the accuracy of each of them, I did each and the boath do practicly the exact same thing, the one on toms hardware seams simpiler though so I'd recomend that, here's a link to each of them Tom's Hardware (http://www6.tomshardware.com/cpu/99q3/990826/), and OC Inside (http://www.ocinside.de/index_e.html?/html/Athlon_resistors.html).

Well I really would buy a GFD but there's one problem,It wont fit in my case because the PS sit's right above the CPU,And I really don't want to try and find another case that's going to cost me another 50-100$ + 2-3 hours of installing all the parts inside it,I'll just stick without overclocking this one :( *sigh*,Maybe I can do that soldering trick,Although i'm not very good at soldering lol.

You could just to psu mod so that it is on the outside of the case, there is an article somewhere on externally mounting the psu that would solve your problem...
