Oops.. I told you guys that I will bump this baby to 1.4Ghz two weeks from now but I did it anyways due to successful CPU stress test and being very stable at 1380.
As the topic explains again, I am very happy how far I have come. So far, 41% stable overclock on a .18u version of P3 cD0 is fabulous!
OC at 1380 was totally stable and passed the CPU burn-in test 100 times looped as I said I was gonna do and made it through without a hipcup.
Now at 1410mhz, it's been running very happily without any crash in apps and gaming. The idle temp and the rest of information at 1410mhz is in the pics below..
Also, strangely, I set the BIOS as 140 fsb but it registers as 1410mhz in the Sandra info. So... I said oh that's even better, haha. and guess what... I'm not finished yet. I still might give it a little further overclock later in the future..
My progress of jumping from 1350 is in this thread (http://forums.overclockers.ws/vb/showthread.php?threadid=42812)

that is awesome looks even better than the Athlon 1.33...all i can say is.....daymn!!!!
Uh oh! :D
Now we have a P3 1000E @ 1.4GHz club!
Good job, man! I've really got some cooling work to do if yer at 41C at that speed and voltage.
Where's the ceiling in these things!?

Sorry, my Vcore and VIO is at 1.95V & 3.80V. I thought the voltage would be too high but now this processor is very stable while mataining such low temperature at that voltage is amazing, heehee.. :D

Thankx guys.. :p
Yeah Im happy and feel comfortable now cauze I broke the 1.4Ghz barrier heehee..
Pecos, hmm.. good question. Since Radadman's 1.1Ghz cD0 hitting 1.43Ghz, it's maybe quite possible that our cD0's could do just as high.. it sure looks like these got potential. =)

I'm worried about your I/O voltage.
Is having the I/O at 3.8v the ONLY way you can have stability?
I've read a few horror stories of graphic cards, and DIMM sticks being damaged by having the I/O higher than 3.6v. It would be a shame to have that happen to you.
It's a LOT harder to cool a dimm or video card (you can't always effectively cool all the parts on the pcb that might be effected, and RAM sinks are not always available) than it is to cool CPU.

Heeheehee.. you sound like you're jealous. :D
Yes. I had to run my VIO at 3.80 all my BE6-2's life. I had to run at this Voltage to maintain stability in my previous P3 600E@ 912, P3 700E@ 1071, P3 800EB@ 900, and now, P3 1000E@ 1350 and Above require VIO of 3.80. The same BE6-2 mobo has been used by most of these processors and had Zero number of problems throughout my entire PCI and AGP components. heeheeheehee...
I also owned a BE6-2 Rev1 and that also needed 3.80VIO to run the 800EB OC stable.
So, don't worry.

Umm also, I haven't told you the half of my story on the system cooling.
The Northbridge is equipped with Artic Silver and V3 HS(whole lot better than the factory greeny sink) , Southbridge (PCI controller) is not even warm. it's almost cold to the touch, lol. The clock generator is also slightly warm. I just don't see how it's gonna cook my PCB as I have looked over all the rest of the mobo. and I don't even feel the heat on the HPT370 HD controller.
My GTS 32mb's RAM chips are not even warm to the touch and they don't even need cooling lol. However its GPU is cooled by a cut and modified Slot1 HS with AS because I OC'ed the GPU core.
Plus, with this system OC'ed configuration, the bus speed is even considerably lower than when I had those P3 700E and P3 800EB I had. Even back then those with 150- 155mhz FSB with 3.80V VIO, had no problems.
and.. let's not get into the case cooling.. If I tell, it'll just go on and on and on.. I am just trying to explain what I have done to these systems. ;) Cheers =)

Oh and the Memory modules.. no no no.. lol Never had any problems with any of my RAM sticks. Long time ago I used some cheap, low quality no brand PC100 and PC133 including my Mushkin PC150 and PC133 Rev3, all of the RAM sticks above, had no problems at VIO 3.80 or even 3.90. But mostly the setting has been at 3.7 ish to 3.8. The 3year old cheap azz PC100 no name brand RAM sticks did 143+ mhz fsb@ VIO 3.80 needed no cooling, why? cauze it gave me no problems, hehehe.
Same thing applies to Mushkin and Crucial RAM I have here. That cheap PC100 ones are now in the 1.5Ghz oc'ed T-bird system and running concrete solid. The "horrible" story or reports you have heard doesn't happen in everyday life. That is rather rare case, otherwise everyone who upped their BE6-2 or other BX based mobo to VIO 3.80, they all would fry their chipsets on their mobo and it would be caos. Enough explaining for ya? ;) :D

Just for the fun of it, here's the AMD chip for comparison.
hummm.. my P3 still get wackked by my T-bird 1.5Ghz.. mm.. .. heeheehee :o Here's the T-bird 1.4Ghz@ 10.5x @ 143fsb CAS3 with a cheap stick of PC100 RAM..
guys..i know why my board fried!!!!!!!! never plug the delta fan directly to your mobo!!! i came across an article saying that doing so will fry your mobo!!! buy a 3-4 pin converter and plug that damn fan to your psu!! it's too late for me
here's the link

:(
good luck all!!!
When you guys use the Sisoft burn-in wizard, what do you guys burn in?
I burn in the CPU, CPU Multimedia and the memory.

auky,
oh gosh.. Im sorry I didn't tell you that. I assumed you knew about it.. darn.. well, now u know. Yes the 4- 3 pin power adapter is a must cauze these fans draw a lot of power and could fry your mobo although it's not guaranteed to get fried.. Sorry to hear about your mobo.. ;(
Hey Yodums,
No, benchmarking CPU, CPU Multimedia, Memory, HD, etc, are Not considered CPU burn-in. They hardly stress the CPU if any. It's the logo that shows as "Burn-in Wizard" if you scroll all the way down in the Sandra window. That is the Sandra version of CPU-burn. That is the only one that will stress your CPU to death in Sandra apps. In that wizard, you'll have option to burn-in other peripherals i.e. HD, CD ROM, Memory, etc.. also.

Could u post pictures of the mobo mods to keep it cool ? Got same mobo but can't get my PIII800E cB0 to go past 118FSB, crashed in win2k if I tried higher...
I assumed u used slot1 cpu, not w/slotket, right?

???.. Have u read all the posts? It explains what CPU type, what Mobo type, and what Slotket I am using. It is impossible to run this chip without a slotket. Let me state again. I have a Abit BE6-2 Rev1.2 mobo, that is Slot 1 and I am using a Super SlotketIII from Generics (cheap junk). I don't have a film yet that's why I haven't taken the pics of this system yet. My case cooling method is little different.. nothing special.. it's all naked. Case is not on. I have 80mm case fan blowing toward the CPU/SK-6 Delta/Slotket at perpendicular angle approx. 4cm away while maintaining the room temp of 77F when the computer is in use. The part of the computer case metal plate that holds the mobo is still attached. The rest of the perpherals i.e. CD ROM, HD, and PSU are tugged underneath. It knocks down another 3C or more. My lowest idle temp at 1410mhz; 23.5C and CPU burn-in load temp; 40- 41.5C.
You might not like to hear this but those P3 800E cB0 CPU's are hard to overclock. I mean you can hardly can get much out of it. Your current OC is still pretty good for that processor. With excellent cooling and lots of luck you could reach 133fsb with yours. If I were you, instead of dragging more time, I would get a new processor ASAP. you would need double Peltier w/air cooled to run some what higher. You can't push a processor that doesn't want to get cranked up much. But in my case, this one has potential and here I'm getting a lot out of it. :)
yeah..i was late.:( :( :(

dude, congratulation! ur accomplishment is amazing! i hope that i couple get a such chippy so i can oc the hell out of it..yeah u go!
well, i have to say enpc is really selling some good chips..my 1000e is @ 1226 default voltage now...will gonna try higher once i got my culs2-c..btw, how to you make pictures of those benchies?? thanks..

Thanks Tainice.. =)
auky, yeah it's pretty easy. If you have any kind of image software like Photoshop, Office 2000 PhotoDraw, Word, or any other programs that takes images are all u need. If you want to capture any particular window like what I did with the Sandra window, just click on that window to highlight and press "Alt" + "Print Screen" key on your keyboard. Then open up any of those image programs and past it. Then choose the type of image you want to it be created. Most people use JPEG type.. I use PNG type. You can also use GIF. =)

hi radadman, no I think your RAM is very good. It's not holding you back from FSB OC'ing. It's probably the CPU. cauze your CPU is at 11x multiplier and does put out more heat than the 10x ones. Yes radadman, as u mentioned before, taking that baby to a next step of cooling your CPU ASAP. Peltier with air would be good. Then you could see the maximal potential of your cD0 11x 1100E CPU. Meanwhile, try do some CPU burn-in starting with 40- 50 times loop on the CPU and Multimedia (no need to do the other peripherals i.e. RAM or CD ROM devices). If it fails to pass, try running your CPU at default speed of 1100mhz and up the voltage as high as 1.95V or 2.0V (**at your own risk**) and if you pass, then try looping 100 times or more. If it passes it, then overclock it back to where u're at and the volatage back to where u had it before. Then run the CPU burn in. You can try lowering the voltage one step if your system will work stable.
Yours has great potential too I believe. Good luck! =)
there you go

In the past I've only selected CPU, CPU Multimedia and Memory.

Almost sounds heat related to me. During a CPUBurn test, my system restarted under Win2k.
i think it's heat problem too but not the cpu ..but the mobo...i found that there are 3 capacitors near the power input connector extremely hot while cpu under stress..i'll let you know if this happens to my new mobo which will arrive tomorrow..
