View Full Version : What should I do with my old vid card? (possibly damaged)
I'm wondering what I should do with my old 9800 pro. I was going to sell it to one of my friends but i'm not sure I should. When I was messing around with the wiring trying to get my new HD in I tried to make a power cable go longer than it was. Anyways Now the 4-pin power connector on the old card is slightly bent. I booted up with the card a few times after doing this. It seemed to run stable but I never attempted to run a game on it. I don't want to sell this to someone only to find out I really did screw it up. I also don't want it it sitting idle, nore do I want to put it back into mine to test it for fear that I screw my system up. What should I do?

put it back into your system and try it, its not gunna screw anything up, unless the power regulators n stuff are completely blown, then.... ur in trouble

if you just bent the power connector you should be able to bend it back with out issue. It's just the 4 pins with a plastic cover to make it look nice. Hook your pal up with a nice card!

that or put it on the forums for sale as a working card with minor cosmetic dammage as that wont hurt anything
