View Full Version : Power Management?
I was just wondering how I should have these settings, or does it make a difference either way. What I do is just click Setispy icon and then turn off my monitor.(Switcher 2000 Plus)
System standby--never
Turn off monitor--never
Turn off hard disk--never
That's how I have it set now. One more thing, "Should I pause my Task Scheduler while running Spy? Thanks.

You can turn off your monitor. I doubt your system would go to standby with it processing stuff all the time...but you probably do want the hdd one set to off. :)
Daman is correct - but unless you really need it I would disable task scheduler and office find fast if you're using office 97. I'd also disable the indexing service. Uhh nevermind that's only win2000 I think.
Thanks for your replies!:)

I would add that power management from CMOS should also be disabled - if it isn't already - and if you are using a virus scanner then exclude the seti folder from it.
