Need help on finding a HSF for a new sys. The most important thing for this would be LOW NOISE. So far, I think I like the Cooler master EP5-6i11 found on Newegg. Any comments/other recommendations?
Edit: hmmm... the volcano 5 seems good also.
It is dependent on your system. what chip?

i dont know if this is in the price range but how about a thermoengine with the orignal 16cfm fan
I ran the Thermal Take Volcano II...Very quiet but temps hit 55C under gaming in the summer. This was on a 1.4 TB.

Make sure you read LOTS or reviews. Reading the wrond one landed me with a P:mad:S mini copper orb that barely cools my T-Bird 1.4. I've heard that the volcano's good. I can't tell you anything about the others. I'm not sure about the price on Glaciators, but I know that they rock.

hmm... the SVC golden gate seems to be on a half price sale right now, should I buy that? (is it a good HSF, and is it so heavy that it's likely to break the socket?) thx for EVERYONE's advice so far, really helpful.:)
Edit: BTW, does anyone know their shipping cost?

You can try the volcano 6cu+
It is around 20 bucks at neweg. It has a pretty quiet everflow fan. If you want more bang for the buck with more noise, then get the WBK38 with the Delta.

Thats what i bought its is verry nice for the price, i belive it was 5 dolars to ship, I have a duel pIII one whith a coolermaster and one whith a golden gate the cooler master is about 10c hotter than the goldengate, but i got the nice loud fan, whith the smaller one it will still be better than a cooler master. and its not a large hsf, close to the same size as the cooler master

If you are serious about low noise , water cooling is the only way to go . I Don't think you will come in under $20.00 . Sorry

SVC Golden Gate with a delta will give you a .25 C/W for under $20. You can't beat that with any of the others mentioned.
