Older AGP vidio card ?

Which would give better performance? A friend has a choice of one of these:
ATI-9550, or nVidia 5700 Ultra?( my guess is the 5700-U :shrug: )
I also wonder if there was a mod to un-lock the ATI for more performance. I really don't remember much about these cards. Maybe someone out there has some real world comparison.

FX5700U would be your choice...it's almost as good as the 9600XT.

I have a 9550. Made by ATI (so its not a saphire or anything). It easly overclocks to 309/241 form its stock 250/195. If I had better coolign thsi could go alot further. ATItool got it up to 421 core before scene blacked out nad memory got up to 290. I can run meduim settings in BF2 and high settings in C&C generals with NO problems. My 3Dmark 03 was

I think Sapphire makes ATi cards, then rebrands them. :D

Sapphire did make, not sure about nowdays, but the 9500/9700-9600/9800 series was mainly built by sapphire, for ATi. There is a reason for Sapphires usage of a 100% reference design. Great quality.
