My personal goal for 2006 will be to get the farm going and produce a min of 2k PPD.
Also have the Cyrix III actually start a fold on 1-1-6 and finish a damn WU by 1-1-7.
To cheer when 6-6-6 arrives.....MAC OS X for Intel Arrives....
And finally to Spread the word and recruit recruit recruit for Team 32.
Happy New Year's Folders....

I think I've reached my original goal of a solid 2000PPD, so I think I will try and double it by the end of 2006. A lofty goal, yes, but not impossible.
(Hell, they put a few men on the moon.)

I have heard about this. Will the new OSX work on any x86 archetecture? (ie OUR rigs?) Or will it have a custom kernal or something which will keep it on apple-intel only?
My new years folding resolution is to get my Borg Horde (see sig) to atleast 50.

To quit getting 241pt tinkers.
I'm thinking one of my rigs is pumping out ~1 of those a day (6 in the last 7 days), and the other one is crunching down on something bigger. I'll find out come tuesday when I get back to work.
get my power to my powah fixed by tonight and average > 7k ppd all year.
Maybe also see if I can grow the farm enough that i need to upgrade electric service to my house, while:
- keeping the CFO at bay
- avoiding having the police raid me thinking I am growing something I shouldn't with hydroponics
:D

This year for me is the year of no upgrades. At least to the major gaming rig. It's still developing, but once I settle down the dust here soon It's going to be set in stone.... (yeah right) Just need to upgrade the videocards.. and then get that 2gb of ram... and a little better cooling... and ..... :bang head
I've spent soo much in 05 it's rediculous... being my first year into it, I got quite a collection already...
This is the year of the farm... hopefully.... 2kppd by the end of the year should not be too far of a fetch for me if I get myself a small farm. Also would like to build something to put my farm in. Won't go into details here, but in a few months keep your eyes open for a few projects of mine. Hopefully going to do a lot of custom work once I'm on break from spring semester....

#1 - I would like to triple my PPD output, staying around a consistent 3K. This shouldn't be too difficult to do with some uber-borging.
#2 - Make the top 100/page #1. :)
Have a good 2006 all! Thank you for your help and support this month. :)

I'm getting there. I'm running at stock volts on most of my rigs and slightly over on 2. Since I backed off my P4 and shut down my two XPs, temps are way down in here. 1-Opteron, 1-P4 and 3-Athlons folding(1 Borg). I will later bring an XP and a P3 back infold.

My resolution is to do what I can by borging or building to catch the teams higher than us.
To be more detailed, to add at least 2 more powerful CPUs to my meager farm.
im gonna build a 4 layer farm, all i need is to get in the hard drives i ordered and ill have all the parts.

As I've only been folding for a month now, I think a new years resolution can be simply to continue folding. However, I've got a few more:
1) Build a farm. I've got all the parts for a very meager farm, but I've got to get some sort of faster internet access. Which comes from:
2) Buy new house and get comcast installed, then talk to my neighbors and...
3) Get one recruit or one borg.
I've got to start small, but hopefully by mid 06 I'll have all these taken care of.

2x TCCD&TCC5 mem 240
............................516
6x days to break your New Year's Resolution...priceless :p
EDIT:
i needed to get some SOLID OCing mobo's with AGP slots to (hopefully) use up the AGP cards i have sitting around.
so far, 1x of them (with a 630 and 1x of the 3x sets of TCCD i bought a week B4 my resolution) is getting tested @ 4.0GHz as i type :santa:
And spending money on your farm is bad because, why exactly?

my credit card balances (interest payments) are too high as it is :(
its not like i cant "afford" them, but new purchases tend to... "slow" the pay-off time-line, shall we say.
I see.
Intrest payments suck, thats why I moved to a debit card with cash back, that way they pay me. :p
Just remember though all work and no play makes Joe a dull and tired camel!

yup, tending to a FOLDing farm is hard work! and i take it quite serious!
(and if thats not enough... trying to keep a top-10 PPD spot these days is ridicules!! ;))
"play time" comes when i allow myself to upgrade my bench (sig) rig :attn:
My goal is adding 10 to my farm, which as it started 2006, was 1, and now is 4.

10x P4's on QMD's ... nicely OC'd, they could get you 4750+ PPD ... :drool::drool:
but if your thinking TOP-NOTCH, wait for this next gen 9xx Intel chips, things could get *real* ugly around here...

FOLDING for a cure in '06!!

So now we will need to start a 'Broken but good 2006 resolutions' thread :p
My resolution was a bit conservative ... so i will add to it ...
to consolidate my farming expansion into a more manageable, efficient operation ... so that it can be expanded.
Also, to go a month without an EUE. This might be easy to do during the winter, but summertime is going to be a challenge without seriously degrading production. Might need farm scale watercooliing using an approach Silver suggested.
