In the market for a new mouse, looking at the Logitech G5. Maximum PC claims its the best mouse ever.

Anyone have a favorite mouse that works well with TW Golf?
I use a straight edge to guide my current mouse which is almost flat on the side. Its an old logitech ifeel mouse they stopped supporting a while ago. I would like to try a new one for FPS and everything else, but I see they mostly have curved sides. Any fans of TW give me a little input into what you are having success with.

Thanks :)

i like my mx 518 i dont know how much the g5 would yield over the mx 518. and i think the g7 is too heavy!

as long as you have a decent optical mouse... it will work for TW, i mean, it just has to be sensitive enough, you don't need a $50 mouse for that.

I recommend the cheapest optical mouse you can get... I use this in all the games I play :p

Mice are like pants, you got to try it to see if it fits. I would never buy one with out holding it and feeling it to see if it fit my hand and felt natural.

lol. Yes that looks like what I have, its almost flat on the left side.

Works well when I do a true swing up the side of a cd case.

Ordered the G5. I can use that for every thing, if it does not work for golf, I will switch to the old one. Also ordered a Func to go with it.

I wonder if I should delete this post? I have put it in the wrong section! :eh?:

Thanks all, for the input.

mx518>G5 they got rid of the super sweet side buttons on the G5. I use them a ton and i couldnt imagine living without them.

Another vote on the MX518, only $35 bucks and its very comfortable.

So true. I was going to get a G5, but the MS wireless laser mouse fit my hand a lot better. Just go to a store and feel up the mice until you find one that really fits well.

I've got a Razer Dback, IMO the Copperhead feels a tad better [slightly larger] but it's nothing major. This thing is so much better than the MS and Logitech wireless mice I've had before I've used the MX line, IMO it comes down to Logitechs right-hand form-fit vs. the RAZER's universal design. Personally I like the RAZER, feels more like something to manipulate than a hand rest.

Well now I know. The G5 is terrible for TW true swing, have my old mouse plugged in for true swing. Everything else the G5 is great for and the Func pad is sweet for both mice
