1.13.somethin'. Slackware it was. Not that I ever actually use Linux, I just put it on a system every so often and play around with it a bit.

The one that I installed on my machine, at the beginning of the run that has kept Linux on my machine (and as the main OS, no less) was Redhat 5.2.

Came with kernel 2.0.36, I believe.

2.0.36, in Red Hat 5.2. Sure can't claim that I first used Linux in the late Cenozoic, but it was a while agao.

First used a floppy version on linux in spring '01 - Tomsrtbt. The version I had came with a 2.0.x kernel

My first full install was Mandrake 7.1 with 2.2.15 which didn't like my graphics card. That was annoying. I didn't know anything 'bout the linux CLI then. I was hopeless.

Curretn linux has 2.2.16, getting a new version Fri or Mon - Kernel 2.4.10 I think (SuSE 7.3)

Hm...I first installed Slack about three and a half years back or so...

Don't really remember much about that one.

Err.. no. Redhat 5.2 was the first install where I started using it regularly.

I had previously installed Slackware 3.4 and 3.5 about 1.5-2.5 years before that, but didn't have the disk space on my system to keep them around.
