Is watercooling all its cracked up to be? I know nothing about it. It seems to me that all the great fans they have out now should keep the system cool enough. Any feed back would be appreciated.

i'm on water and there's a big diference. first of all, sound. I used to have 9 fans working and my computer seemed a vacuum cleaner. Now, on water, i wired a reostat to the fan and all hear is the HD and the fan from my Vidcard. And my temps are almost 15ºc lower. Plus the stability achieved. The oly problem is the cost a system like this.

it can no doubt cool better. sound is an issue. watercooling can be just a slight hum or whisper. plus, it can cool things that air cant... if you are REALLY overclocking your chip, sometimes aircooling just cantget it THAT cool... watercooling can.

Welcome to The Forum Brent75. You might like to ask a Moderator to move this to the Cooling section. You might also like to check out this link on watercooling http://www.overclockers.com/topiclist/index31.asp#WATER COOLING

I was hitting 55C on my air cooled 1.4 TBird after gaming on a hot summer day. I had 7 fans and the noise was 72 db....I switched to water cooling...Now I never go over 33C and my noise level has dropped to something under 50 db (meter doesn't ready any lower). Go water cooled and you remove the temp worry.
