I have tried it and I can't get it to work. Even with the HotFix on Microsofts website. I followed all the instructions, put the XP disk in the 2000 machine, just like it said. Installed the remote Desktop and gave it a whirl.

"No other Terminal Service computers on this workgroup".

Funny. Maybe it's not on the network properly. Re-did the network settings on the XP machine and gave connecting from my 2k machine another shot.

AAARRGGGHHH. Uninstalled XP, ReinstalleXP.

DAMN YOU!!! Tried puttng it on the wifes 2000 Machine.

Ok, I'll play your silly game. Maybe it's an XP thing. Tried to connect from my wifes machine to my machine. Both 2K, both on the same network for, oh, the past 6 months.

*slams head on desk*
*wipes tears from eyes*

I give up.

well, the thing is, both machines are XP! same install cd. and, they are on the same network.

however, i cant even get them networked! one can only see itself, and the other can see all the machines, but when you click on the second compuer, it says its not connected!?!?

i dont know, i need to do a little more research. it would be really cool if it could work.

Well I don't have an answer specificly (installing XP this weekend) but if all else fails just use VNC, it's free to download. Or us PCanywhere, that's what I have been using for years, works great. But, if I do get it to work this weekend i will let you know.

Well, Sketch beat me too it.... Here's the site if you want more info (or want to download it). BTW, I've never used it, but it's worth a shot....

Hope it works better for you!
