I have recently got an xbox 360 and wanted windows media edition as well as normal xp pro. I now seem to be getting a boot error 'Cannt detect harddisk' :eh?:
I was hoping someone here could shed some light on what i may have done wrong or if there is a bios setting or something i need to change. The problem only seems to happen on cold boot and if i keep on persisting it eventually boots. I need a solution though as my xp pro install has most of my uni work on and i really dont wanna lose the use of my pc atm
thanks in advance :)

Do you only get that message when booting in Media center edition?
Try restoring the boot sector using XP and getting it to ad the Media edition as a boot option, it should detect it :S

when it cold boots and gets that error, is your hard disk detected in BIOS?
no harddisks detected at all, seems to be doing it whether cold or warm now
