Hey guys, just finished my first water cooling setup!! It is pretty exciting, temps went from 35c/55c with my xp-90c to 23c/31c with water.

Here are some pics, I had to cut up the case a bit to hide the wires and fit the pump.

The fans are the 30dBa Panaflo's, they are facing down to suck air through the rad.

I cut an opening near the PSU so I could hide most of the wires behind the motherboard tray. I was even able to fit the 24-pin cable back there to get the bulk of the wires out of view.

I cut up the hard drive housing so I could fit the pump in there with my 2 hard drives. I also wanted the fans to blow on the pump just so I wouldn't have to worry about it over heating.

Looks good, and congrats on the lowered temps. What did you use to cut the circular hole the t-line in going through?

I used a 3/4" and 1" hole saw to drill holes. I also used a dremel for much of the cutting and sanding =)

My only question now is what do I set the pump at? It has 5 settings, 1 being the lowest and 5 the highest. Currently it is at 4 but I am not really sure what the best setting is for this loop.

a settign of 5 would prbly cool the best because it would pump the most collant threw the loop, but if your getting good temps the lower setting is prbly making less noise.

Wow, very nice setup! I have a very similar setup, but not nearly as good temps...lol However, I am only using one fan and my rad is inside of the case. Hopefully I can see what this setup will do when I get my Denki's tomorrow. Hopfuly I'll be here when the UPS man comes :)

Thank you for the nice comments =)

I worked loooong and hard on this setup, took more hours than I want to admit haha.

I am going to try to switch the pump to 5 and see if that changes anything.

Very nice work. Looking forward to the time when I can post something that looks that good. I am working on a liquid cooled case too, but with 2 kids, it is sloooooow going.

It uses 7/16" ID tubing which is 5/8" OD.

Marker - I can imagine how long that must take, I am 20 years old and on Semester break and it still took around a week for me to set it up =)

very nice and very clean setup - i did something similar with the drive cage in my old LL PC-75B and stuck a Laing D4 pump in it :) keeps it tucked in tight and lookin' clean

ps: you're another person on my list that forgot to take the paper backing off of the DD 6800 backbrace before installing it :) no harm intended - i just find it slightly humorous how many people haven't pulled off the paper packing on it

haha Sneaky - I thought that looked a bit like paper that was supposed to be removed. It kept bugging me that DD would use a brown back to what could have been a really nice clear backplate. Guess that is a mistake on my part.

Now that I have substantially increased my overclock, my temps are less impressive. At 4280mhz, 1.475v my idle is 28c and my load is 37c.

Those white rings going around the holes where the tubing goes in, what are they made of and can you just get those at the local lowes/etc?

I actually used the plastic edge guard that came with the Lian-Li. Shame is now I don't have any of it in the case to protect my hands from getting cut.

That's a great 20C drop on the load temps, looks very clean and nicely setup, great job =).

I think the best part of this is that now I can OC my 6800GT to 450/1150.

Ran 3dmark03 in a loop for like 5 hours totally fine at those speeds, video card is about 48c full load.
