I'm buying a new notebook and want to watch DVD movies from different regions.

My current notebook has a Lite-on drive and I have a great utility for changing and resetting all the DVD region information.

I think I'm going to buy an Acer Ferrari 4000 (http://tinyurl.com/989fq); favourable review from Cnet Asia (http://tinyurl.com/djopb).

I do not know what brand of DVD drive it will come with.

I'm not too keen to be flashing the DVD's firmware (that's even if firmware is available to region free the driver).

What software is good for allowing you to play DVDs from different regions and get around RPC1/RPC2 region locking?

Cheers

you can use any dvd player along with a program called "remote selector v2.2", i used to use this before i flashed my drive.
