No, you should wash plastic with soap and water before you paint, but should not sand them.

I doubt it. If I were you though I'd use plastic primer before the paint cuz it will last longer.

What did you paint? And sanding doesnt hurt.

No sand! No Sand!

You can prolly get the scratches out with even finer stuff (1400 or 1600 grit. The paint will hide the rest.

Someone please tell me how sanding is BAD for plastic. Not just that it is bad but actual proof. Sanding isnt bad. As long as you use the proper grit and keep the sandpaper from clogging you should be ok.
