Im having a heck of a time getting my Santa Cruz sound card to work with Windows XP.
Funny thing is it ran fin under RC1 but for some reason the latest drivers from Turtle beach seem to not want to work with my XP pro install.

When I ran the install from the microsoft update site, it failed, so I downloaded the drivers from turtle beaches site. WHen I run the intall program it seems to stop and slow down around 50% then I get a error message that the card has not been installed.

Im thinking that the install program is corrupted or messed up, and ive downloaded it several times now to double check.

Does anyone out there have a source for JUST the drivers, and not the install program so I can do a manuel install?

I guess if I can't get this card to work ill have to go back to W2k or something.

How could I do that? Use Win Ace or something? Its a .exe app, just one file.

Oh, now ya want me to think too??? I used to have a prog for extracting files from an .exe.......................I'll think of it..................hey, have ya tried using WinZip ?? Depending on the .exe you can extract specific files with that. Ya know....right click on said file and select open with winzip??

I had this very same problem about a week ago, i installed the santacruz driver 3 times, and ran their diagnostic utility 3 times! But what worked for me on the 3rd install, was that i went to the card's properties in Device Manager, and from there I clicked on the option to update the drivers, then selected the location.. blah blah blah. Point is, i did it the way windows wants it done, not by running an .exe, but by going the long, official route. If it still doesnt work, run the diagnostic util., its very handy.
