I'm at a total loss. Will I have to start a business building cases designed for watercooling or what!? Every case in the world is crap. I'm so tired of staring at cases you have no idea. Got most parts of my watercooling figured out, but I can't find a case.
* I want a case that's got room for the standard three 5.25" and three to five 3.5" drives.
* 120mm front intake AND 120mm back/top exhaust, both with enough room for a 6x7.5" heatercore/rad.
* I want the bottom half of the front to be clean of any buttons and/or leds, as I'll be dremeling a big intake hole for the fan in it.
* I'd rather not have a front door. Unlike some people I actually use my drives and really like having access to them.
* Also, I really don't need windows or any light stuff. To me my PC is a tool. When was the last time you installed a neon lit window in the side of your fridge? Also having my PC beaming out supernova quantities of light next to my bed... well.
Jeez, If I sound bitchy, it's 'cuz I am, sorry. I've been researching cases for two weeks now, probably looked at specs for a few hundred of them. I really need some advice on this guys.

Yeah, I have one of those and it is very nice. *tip* dont try to use the BIX3, you need the thermochill 120.3...I learnt this the hard way :bang head

You could take a look at this. http://www.svc.com/cmstacker-19.html
From the description of your needs this should cover them all.
149.99+s&h is not bad, the only drawback is the weight, being 38lbs it's not cheap to ship. I currently use that same case and love all the room.
So far as I've found that's the best price online, hopefully someone can find it cheaper and post it for you.

The ufo is an overpriced rigid plastic bag. Too many windows, too big. No thanks. I should have mentioned wanting a miditower case.
The stacker is nice tho, if a bit pricey.
I want a square sheetmetal box with some 120mm holes in it!! how hard can it be?

Two words: Make it.
Talk with a local HVAC repare place and see if they bend sheet metal for ducting. You might find they could make the sheet metal cover with holes for a frame that you make for cheap!

Or if you can find, a Lite-On FS-020.

Gotta love the ol' trusty Lite-On FS020. A modder's and watercooler's dream. ery sturdy, but a little heavy. I have one too. Think it's discontinued. Coolcases.com lists it, although it's currently out of stock.

I've been looking at Lite-On 020, or a Beantech Igloo-1, both simple, nice cases that actually look like computers. And Both are very moddalbe to fit my exact specs. The Lite-On the obvious favourite, but it's a tad hard to get. I haven't found it for sale anywhere. And the Beantech, well, I've been in touch with them regarding some mroe exact measurements, and not a word, so.. :/
Making it? Yeah, question is, if I make 'em and start selling 'em, would you guys buy?

My desk aint high enough off the ground. Besides, lugging a full tower to LAN? Bleh to that :p
My whole idea for this project is to make a little grey boring oldschool box-looking PC that noone would ever suspect of anything. I want it to be whisper silent with water, and a low-mid O/C of CPU and GPU, while keeping within reasonable temps. Wich I think I can achieve, but I need a case that works with the project.

pc65 by lianli. some sites sell it for $109. or sometiems evenless. you can prolly find the pc60( the version without the window) for a little cheaper. it is classic looking and i think will work well for what you want.

Ok, this case weighs 13lbs with a cheap 350w ps. It's price is low, 52 bucks.
I have bought 2 of these with in the last 3 months. The first one was cause
it was cheap and came with a ps i could use as a slave for my fans and
water cooling setup in my cmstacker. The second one i bought cause the case was a
good overall buy. Plus i wanted to mod it because the first one ended up being a
X-Mas present for my sister.

My full tower case is lighter than my mid tower.
I have this case and I really like it. I like you spent weeks trying to find the right case that i wanted, and this one is it. The only thing you mentioned that it does not have stock is a 120mm top blow hole, but that is an easy fix.

It is the height of a midtower but the depth of a full tower and about 2 inches wider than your average midtower. You can see my project log with some pics of it here (http://www.ocforums.com/showthread.php?t=401801&page=1&pp=30)

Rig Rider - I really like the Aspire Alu X-Sonic. I dunno I like the looks of most cheap cases much more than any $250 case I've seen so far. Gonna see if I can find it here in the UK.
voigts - Good to know I'm not alone in my insanity ;) I like that case as well. Looks very roomy from your project log. Same there, gonna check prices in the UK for it.
I also found this: Compucase 6A19 (http://www.compucase-hec.co.uk/mainpages/product_detail.asp?pid=7#)
That I really like the looks and price of. It comes ready with front and rear 120mm and looks very roomy. And the front, well, it's about as plain as it can get before going ugly.
I'll keep looking around. Thanks to everyone for their input, you guys all rock. :attn:
I didn't know you are in the UK. The same case there is the Akasa Eclipse-62. I wish they sold the Akasa Eclipse-62 version in the US as I would have bought it instead since it comes in black whereas you can't get black in the US for some reason, and trying to pay to ship the thing internationally costs too much.

Aerocool Masstige. That's why I bought one.

Found the Eclipse-62, thanks voigts. Good looking case. Twice the price and half the weight of the Compucase 6A19, otherwise they look comparable. It's gonna be a tossup.

If I were in the UK I would get Chieftec. They have some nice cases for relatively cheap.

After maybe five minuts i came across this. Give me some time and i can find it.
I need a good UK search engine to use. Can ya help a brutha out?
What I really like is that fact that every little detail seems to be well thought out on the globalwin (Akasa) case. The MB tray slides right out of the back which makes it really easy when installing the MB. The case has wire management built into the design, and has holes in the MB tray already so that you can route wiring behind the tray easily. Everything in the case is removable including the top panel and even the led light panel. And being so wide makes it easy to place pump, etc. and route tubing. As you can tell, I REALLY like this case. I have had cheap cases before, and I can tell you there is no comparison to trying to work with them vs. working with this one. This case was about twice the cost of a cheap case, and it is worth every dime.

The New Stacker Pwns alot of other cases, I think it can hold like 13 120mm fans in it :o

I just got one. It does have a front door. But you might take it off.
The bottom front already has a 120mm fan in it, then you don't have to
do any work there. You can mount a dual rad on the back where there
are 2 120mm fans blowing. The hose can go out from 2 pre-cut holes.
It is a bit small to me, but might suit you.
