Replacement Backlights/Screens

I was wondering if anyone could point me in he right direction for replacement backlights and screens for HO notebooks. Particularly, the 17" screen from the zd7000 series notebooks. My backlight is almost dead, and when it is on, it is bleeding through the screen in a couple parts. It just sarted doing this 3 days past the expiration of the warranty, and I wanted to see if it would be cheaper to fix it myself, than to send it in to get it fixed.

i would check ebay to see if you can buy one there, or you can always try hp...

I don't trust HP service. I called and explained my problem, and they said that the tech could talk me through removing my spyware and viruses, and that would make my screen work again. I already checked EBay, and found nothing.
