My friend gave me a DVD of all our high school's football game footage, and I want to be able to rip select parts into quicktime format (mpg?). I am good with computers, but have no virtually no experience with video editing. How do I go about ripping and changing it to this form? He said the DVD has no copy protection. Thanks.

I would love to know if that's possible too. I have fooled around with it and never come up with anything. Maybe some else knows?

Of course it's possible! Anything is possible with today's technology :)
That's great to here. Now can you turn this bottle of spring water into fine wine?:D
More seriously, thanks for the links.
