I am thinking about buying this chip and the new z4 waterblock and watercooling. What kind of results that i might see with a unlocked chip and excellect cooling in the case with a epox 8kha+ ddr kt266a

My Xp 1700+ is currrently at 1.65 Ghz water cooled. FSB OC only. You could probably expect to reach the 1.75-1.85 Ghz range with water cooling.

he didnt underclock it. AMD has this weird marketing ploy that couples big numbers with different speeds because they cant reach higher mhz processors even though their processors are faster than intels. all i know is that the 1800 is actually 1.53ghz
to be a bit more precise, the numbers AMD are using are the equivelency numbers to a Pentium chip. So, a 1800+ AMD chip is approximately equal to a 1800 mHz P4 chip. And as long as Intel keeps dropping the calculations per cycle to make their speeds, I can see nothing wrong with AMD's marketing move.

Yep and the marketing ploy is working :). Also the 1700+ that foxmolder has is really 1.43 ghz so good job fox on that oc. PS(incase you were wondering the 1600+ is 1.33 ghz)
no the 1500 is 1.333ghz
1600 1.40ghz
1700 1.47ghz
1800 1.53 ghz
