Win2K or WinXP + Latest NV Drivers=Black Screen When Gaming?

Before when I previously had Windows XP... I installed CS .. ok worked fine thought I would get a better FPS performance if I upgraded to the latest nVidia drivers then when I load any DX games it would boot then show the back screen(then disconnect my monitor from the computer)...


OK Then it was format time I installed Win2K same thing..

Now I'm back on Win 98 gaming :D

I want to get back on Win2K at least good OS :P

If your system works OK under Win98 and not under Win2K or WinXP then I would look at a driver issue. Go back to the latest Microsoft approved drivers.

nVidia's latest drivers (I think the .83?) are HORRID
I've had quite a few problems with games that worked fine with the previous drivers..but since I'm now running XP, I'm suck with 'em till an update comes out :mad:
