View Full Version : When is enough mods completed to call the box done?

This is what I have done on my RED machine.

12x9inch window
made the window real glass cuz plexiglass looks lame
120mm fan on top
80mm modded to 92mm on back
4inch red cold cathode
Changed LEDs on NIC to red
Changed front case LEDs to red
Changed floppy LED to red

only need to etch the window and make the fanbus with you guessed it red LEDs.

You can have to many mods?
I think the maximum point of modding is when you compromise the stability of the case or the saftey of the system(say sawing of one support of the case just to see if it looks cool) :P
So thats not easy to achive :)

well my case mods are this 9x12 window, 2 24" blue rounded IDE wires. 1 10"blue rounded floppy, Mirage paint with floppy and C.D.-R face plates painted to match watercooled with pelt, 1 80mm intake 1 80mm exhaust, 1 card cooler fan. Soon I'll be putting in 2 green strobe lights and a 10" purple light. So I'd say you can never be done cause something new always comes out.

When you can't fit the computer parts into the case because there's too much cool stuff in the way. :D

When your case starts to take up quite a lot more room under your desk...nah, still not enough. My excuse is 'came to college, didn't find anywhere to work on it'

You can do a lot of modding but someone always thinks of something extra to do for thier box, but, as for one case you can overload it to the point of looking ridiculous.

Ok, almost completed generation 2 of my mods...3 gallon water resevoir with built in bong cooler stuck to the side of my case :D

Should be done by next weekend, my only problem is how to get the damn bong to stick up straight...hmmmm. Might get two meter sticks and paste them to the side of the case for support. Otherwise it's going to be another black electric tape prop up creation! With enough electric tape, you can build ANYTHING! :p
