low FPS with 7800GT

okay i have the system in my specs and im only getting 60FPS in both CS 1.6 and CS:S and WoW...?!?! i know for 100% i should get 100 FPs in 1.6 and more than likely 100 FPS in CS:S, WoW i dont know. I have used the newest driver, the beta, and an older driver(77.77) and this is ticking me off because i didnt spend $300 to get 60FPS!!!

Are there any frame caps on these games, maybe Vsync is on? Unfortunatly I do not play them so I am not sure. Also, you have the nvidia platform drivers correct?

Turn vsync off.

Thank you soooo much guys!!! it was the Vsync. why did it cap it at 60?

vsync makes the fps the same as the refresh rate of your monitor...which is typically 60

Because that is what your monitors refresh rate is set at.
