What just happened?

Today after i turned on my computer logged in as usual signed on aim ect... My computer just froze for a few seconds then i got a bule screen. It dumped the physical memory and i restarted. When i restarted it said no os found or something like that. Then i was oh **** my hard drive just died. I restarted again but windows booted as usual. So what just happened? Is my hdd dieing?

dunno.. i had somthing simular today i was tweeking my gf's pc while she is away. as5 on NB cpu blowing out cobwebs ect.and i booted up and no os was found.. it just wouldnt boot.. then i thought hmmm checked all the leads.. they was fine. still no boot so i reset cmos.. and it was fine after that... did my head in..

you running that smart HDD thing or whatever? See wht that tells ya, I would personaly start backing up anything important (I just don't take chances with my data).

I have the smart thing in speed fan. Its fittness is about 50% and performance is 100% Not really sure what the rest of the stuff means
