I can't open the CASE because my parts are still on warranty.

Is there any way to reconstruct the partition information or something that would let me access my DATA again ?

I'm afraid to lose my DATA if i make a new format.

Thanks

check it out with R-Tools data recovery see if it can see anyting, if it cant, your likely scewed.

and i HATE those companies that put those stickers on your computer and say you void your warrenty if you open it

how long is your warranty for ??

and why would you need to open it up ?

Boot with a knoppix CD and see if you can see the data. If you can then you need to find a way to get the important data off by either another computer on the network or an external harddrive. there are a couple more ways but those would be the best.

Well, in a situation like this, the most common way to get your data back, is putting your HD in another computer and try to retrieve the data with some program.

In my case, i can't open the case because my parts are still on warranty.

I'm kind of desesperate here.

It was not builded from an specific brand, like HP, compaq or something.

Is just a PC that i bought in a store.

Is Partition Table Doctor useful for something in this case ?

I know the DATA is there, cause i booted the PC with NTFS4DOS, and i could see the data.

But when i try to install windows again, it says the disk is not formatted, so i guess the partition information or boot sector is damage, i don't know.

What else can i do?
