give credit where credits due. hope this helps people looking for a cheap combo.
Fry's rock. Although it also varies by which store too. I picked up a A54 3500+ & Nforce 2 mobo and I don't remember seeing this at the Houston store.

Definitely DEAD. Fry's ends monday ad on Tues evening and Wednesday ad on thursday evening. It could reappear again in the friday ads however
Fridays ad last until at least Tuesday and can last until the next friday. Saturday and Sunday end on Tuesday also unless its a repeat of an ad in the Friday paper.
Expiration dates are on the bottom of the last (or only) page for Fry's newspaper ad
you have a pm

I just looked in the frys paper and its there for $79.99, might be making a good budget rig for a client with it :)

There is a better deal IMO, Sempron 3100 and ECS NF3 board for 89$!!! :) full ATX too. I am gonna jump on this for a HTPC/Light gamming rig for downstairs.

Just FYI, this deal is dead now, but it was for a Sempron 2600+ (HIGHLY unlikely you will get a 64-bit Sempy) and the ECS 755 board. At least that's what the Houston area stores were offering. The moron salesperson actually tried to talk me into "upgrading" to an Abit s939 board, even though it was a s754 CPU.
They really need to open a Fry's in Pa.

Look in www.outpost.com . They are an extension of Frys Elextroniks, and carry the same and sometimes better deals than the store. Shipping will sometimes kill the deal though.
Thanks for the reply ghetto.

ghettocomp and lucasp:
I believe Fry's is mostly in TX and CA. Believe it or not, they actually have Fry's grocery stores in CA. No kidding. Anyways, the comment about Outpost.com having better prices is true more often than not, except for the circular that Fry's puts out every other day, which sometimes has some great deals (sometimes not, though). Anyways, typically you're better off with Newegg, unless you like dealing with rebates. Fry's does have good CPU/mobo combo deals, though, but they almost always stick you with and ECS/PCChips motherboard, which is crap for overclocking.
I do have to give Fry's credit for their excellent service. I've had a few parts that failed me, took it back to Fry's and they gave me no trouble whatsoever. The RMA process probably took 30 seconds actualy. Not only that, but the tech guys in the motherboard section really do know their stuff. One of them was recommending me the same cooling that I've been reading on ocforums. :)

frys and outpost.com are the same company, they are owned by the same people. Frys took over outpost.com when they wanted a website store because it had an established name already. Thats why if you go to the Frys website (www.frys.com i think) its a pretty generic page. Most people get confused about that and think there is no online store.
The only kicker is their deals are not always the same date. Outpost will put soemthing on sale for a few days, when it goes off sale Frys will put it on sale in their store. Most management at frys will balk heavily if you ask them to match Outpost.com price. They say its a "seperate" company with their own pricing and whatnot. I worked there for awhile and i couldnt even get the manager to do it for me, I had to wait until the store had it on sale or buy it online. Kinda sucks. Sign up for their daily newletter and they will email you all the cheap **** at outpost.
