View Full Version : nonstandard FTP ports
I have a linksys router and i couldn't be happier about it until today. I am trying to set up a descrete FTP server on a higher port so that it is less exposed however when not useing port 21 for the login the router closes off the communication. They can login but then the port is denied. Is there anyway around this. Can anyone help. i have tried port forwarding.

what are you paranoid about?
latly a bunch of people have been trying to get in. Plus for me to access it at school it needs to be on a different portdue to a firewall blocking that port.
