I got remote desktop to work. It rocks.
Heres what you gotta do.
Make sure the two computers are on the same network. Same domain, or workgroup.
Then take your XP disk and put it in the other computer (the computer that you want to control your XP machine from). Select Perform other tasks. Then put in the Remote Connection stuff.
Go back to your XP machine. Go to Control Panel, then system. See those tabs on top? Go to Remote. Make sure Allow Remote Connections is checked.
Then go back to the other machine and go to Start, Accesories, Communications, Remote Desktop Connection.
Put in the machine name of the XP computer, the admin username and password and hit connect.
And be amazed.
