I would think that MS will probably release a rollup package before the release of SP3, which contains all of the OS and security updates released up to that point.

I thought they were going to stop updates on Windows XP, maybe this is an extentsion of its recommended life cycle to extend Vista.

darksparkz. I think you are referring to "feature" updates which probably will be stopped this year. Patches etc will continue for several years. I bet they are holding off on sp3 because it probably has IE7 included and they dont wat it competing with Vista.
