A search on this topic produced no relevant hits, so maybe this is the wrong forum but here goes.

I had a power outage last night for just a few minutes. Normally, the nuisance of resetting clocks, etc would be trivial. But my PC has a DFI mobo with high voltage RAM that has a cold boot problem after loss of power. It takes a lot of time and some swapping of RAM modules to get it back up again. Thus, today I am shopping for an uninterrupted power supply. The first computer in my sig is the only one I really need to protect but the second one is nearby and if there is a unit that will protect both I'd like to hear about it.

Any recommendations for a good UPS to run 2 400+ watt computers, a CRT and LCD monitor, and a cable modem and router for 30 min or so? Thanks

I bought a Cyberpower 1100VA UPS about 6 months ago. So far so good. I get roughly 50min of runtime with my main rig in my sig. I think I got it for around $100.

Thats the one I have. I also got a great deal on a couple of 800VA Dynex UPS's at BB a few weeks ago. Cant beat $30 each for 800VA UPS's. They are just rebadged Cyberpower units. They give around 25min at half load.
