It has 24x100mbps and 2x1gbps through a cisco systems hub. I have 5 comps hooked up to it. Also theres a button on it, when u press it it changes the settings from STAT, UTIL, DUPLIX, and Speed. What do these settings mean?

The prob, when im in my shared hdd on another comp it takes like 10secs to rename a file, but yesterday it wouldnt take but like a half of a sec.

Pull all but two devices from the network and see if it's still slow. If it is, we can isolate the problem.

If fewer machines on the network resolves the problem, I would suggest getting a switch and replacing the hub.

It's most likely a switch with 2 1gb ports.

Its an switch so what can i do. I unpluged all but 2 comps and still slow.
