Decided to bite the bullet and mod my case for water. Here is waht I am planning on buying. Is this going to be ok?

BIX-2 - https://www.dangerdenstore.com/product.php?productid=2

DD Bay Res - https://www.dangerdenstore.com/product.php?productid=51

DD-D5 Pump - https://www.dangerdenstore.com/product.php?productid=175

Note: already have the Swiftech Apogee on the way.

Tubing will be 7/16 from Mcmasters. I assume clamps i can get there also.

Two Questions:

Additives - Do I want to use the MCT-5 from DD? What is better for longevity and few problems?

Also if I go distilled water, should I use this stuff - https://www.dangerdenstore.com/product.php?productid=77

Do I want metal or plastic clamps, or does it matter?

Your choice on the coolant, but with good bards (I would use metal, but people seem to use plastic with not probems) and a 24 hour in-case (as in the setup is in the case) leak test you should be free from leaks for the most part. If you used distilled, I'd use the Xerox, if you have a microcenter near you it's just as much as it is online but no shipping. And have you considered a T-line instead of a res? Not trying to convince you one way or the other, just want to make sure you're aware of the options. Also, what fans do you plan on using on the BIX2?

No idea on the fans, but i noise dosnt bother me as much as ****ty cooling does. I have a 118cfm Panaflow that is loud as hell right now, so whatever works. Suggestions are welcome.

I am leaning towards the mct-40 for the coolant

less than 80cfm fans should be paired with the BIP for best performance, BIX for >80cfm. There is also the new line of BI rads coming soon, I havent read up on that yet so you will have to search yourself.

Good thing about WCing if you dont like the coolant you can change ;)

MCT-40 is rather useless AFAIK. Do you really plan on going down to -40C? From what I remember thats the difference between MCT-40 and MCT-5. I also believe MCT-40 is a stronger solution of whatever.. and has a slight performance hit over MCT-5.

That said, I would never consider either. I've been very happy with distilled myself (my first setup)
