also Sapphire says this has DDR-2 but it doesnt list that ,this shows i only have DDR, my card looks like the Sapphire 9800Pro 128MB but it has the fan like the 256MB , shouldnt the Sapphire 9800Pro 256MB have heatsinks on the memory if it had DDR-2?

this is what my card looks like but without the memory heatsinks

All the 9800pro's I've bought (Sapphire 128mb, ATI 128mb, Sapphire 256mb) have looked identical. None had ramsinks and all had the same fan.

As far as overclocking, the easiest way is to use either ATI Tool (http://www.techpowerup.com/atitool/) or ATI Tray Tools (http://www.guru3d.com/article/atitraytools/189/). Both programs work fine, but I've found ATI Tray Tools to give me higher max overclocks with my x800xt pe, though I never tried it with my 9800pro.

i thought that only XT's had the extra molex connector, or the 9800Pro's with R360 cores?, I might be wrong?

Afaik all 9800 pro's have the extra molex connector. Mind did. The ones with the R360 cores can generally be flashed to XT's.

To the OP: Just use ATI Tools and let it find the max core/memory for your card. With the standard hsf you won't get a massive overclock though. I could only push my 9800pro (128 mb) card to around 5-6% with the stock fan and ramsinks.
