Let me re-phrase what i typed earlier.

First up here is my systems specs:
Abit NF7-S Rev2
AMD Sempron 2200+@2192Mhz @1.56V
512MB DDR 400 @366Mhz (2x sticks of 256)
40Gig Seagate 7200Rpm Hdd
20Gig Western Digital 5400Rpm Hdd
Gainward 6800LE 128MB (12pipes,6Shaders)
BenQ DVD-RW
BTC CDRW
Thermaltake Volcano 7 @ full speed
4 case fans
Case Temp is around 30C celcius
CPU is around 50C celcius

Now for the ATX PSU's:

2x 300 Watt ATX Generic PSU's with the following stats:

PSU 1:
5V---------25A
3.3V-------16A
+12V------13A
-12V------0.8A
-5V-------0.5A

PSU 2:
5V--------30A
3.3V------20A
+12V-----15A
-12V-----0.8A
-5V------0.5A

Now as you can see PSU1 has 13Amps in the 12volt rail whereas PSU2 has 15Amps on the 12volt rail. PSU2 is the one powering my GFX Card.

Now I want to connect PSU1 and PSU2's 12volt rails together so I can bump the amps to 28 but i need to keep the rails once joined together at 12volts.

How would I go about doing this with ATX PSU's

bump

The voltage accross any resistance will always = voltage of supply
So surely the voltage being supplied would become 10v (as both psus would try to give a voltage as close to 5v as possible), this couldn't be good for a voltage sensitive piece of hardware?
I may be incorrect, but don't chance it.

I never though about it like that. But is there a way to combine the 12v rails of both ATX PSU's to dubble the amperage but keep the voltage at 12v. All i basically need is to supply more amps to my 6800LE.

That supply should be able to handle the card if it isn't loaded with the motherboard and other extras, have you thought that the card may be faulty?
Have you booted it successfully in another system? Do you have the latest BIOS etc? I'd check that it works properly before assuming that it's your powersupply(s).

Ok but the psu thats supplying the 6800LE with power doesnt have enough amperage on the 12volt rail. The card isnt faulty, it just lacks the power that it so craves. IF i can give the card more amperage then it will run the way it supposed to.

It is important to balance load equally.

You can connect psu's like here:

This is safest option IMO. Joining 12V lines will lead to failure.

i already hve my psu's hooked up like that. now i want to up the amperage

The best thing is to just get one grunty powersupply to cover everything.

If you're really set on using two, just divide the components over the two psus. Have one driving the mobo and fans and cds, the other driving the video and HDDs. You don't "up the amperage" by joining them up. If it works at all it won't be as stable as having them separate. Maybe it would work by just connecting everything, but it's not like you're just joining batteries up. And I hate to think of the ground loops you'd be creating everywhere.
